The Grand Rapids Public Schools 33rd Annual Turkey Trot will take place on Thursday, November 27th, 2025. Presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Blue Care Network of Michigan. Starting outside on the Van Andel Arena plaza.
The Mini Trot for children 12 and under starts at 8:10, followed by My Team Triumph at 8:27, and the 5K Run/Walk begins at 8:30 am!
The Grand Rapids Public Schools and the GRPS Foundation gear up for the 2025 Turkey Trot, a family-friendly 5k event that directly benefits GRPS student athletes.
Please join us in support of our 33rd Annual Grand Rapids Turkey Trot, presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Blue Care Network of Michigan.
This annual event has become one of the largest Thanksgiving Day experiences in West Michigan, with typical participation of over 6,000 runners. We will start and finish in front of the Van Andel Arena as well as offering the virtual option once again. The morning begins at 8:10 am with the LMCU Mini Trot, a fun run for children 12 and under, and after that we will then carry on with My Team Triumph, and the 5K community run/walk.
The Turkey Trot provides the branding exposure for sponsors to reach the greater-Grand Rapids community AND provides the 4,000 student athletes of Grand Rapids Public Schools the opportunity to participate in athletics.
